Love Fashion and Song

An evening of operatic love came together on Saint Valentine’s Day in an evening at Café St. Petersburg in Newton Center. The chic café had a European feel with a tucked away back room setup for guests to enjoy a private performance accompanied by tea and traditional pastry.

The show began with Junhan Choi, a baritone from South Korea, winner of several international competitions opening the “La Ci Darem La Mano” piece with his lovely Ukrainian soprano, Olga Lisovskaya to join him for a stunning duet. Lisovskaya, who has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, will sing love solos and duets from Opera, Operetta, Broadway and song literature.

They were accompanied all evening by Levon Hovsepian, piano who is a Komitas Conservatory graduate performing throughout Armenia, Estonia, Moldova and has appeared as a soloist with the Yerevan Symphony Orchestra.

The musical presentation became enchanted with models gliding around Choi in a solo number where each lady love was draped in a glamourous gown from At Cozy boutique and gems from Jewelinga designs. The show came to a close with a live auction of fantastic items up for bid and an invitation for light appetizers and wine to keep the night alive in their Russian tradition in At Cozy Boutique located just at the top of the stairs.
