Top Designers Show for Project Smile
The Hilton Boston/Woburn took part in Boston Fashion Week 2017 with Fashion on Fire. The A list event had guests arriving early to enjoy the pre-cocktail party with desserts, passed appetizers, shopping from local vendors and began the bidding on silent auction items.
The show began with Host for the evening Erika Tarantal from Channel 5 news and Production Director Olga Kwasniewski welcoming guests, thanking sponsors and praise donations that went to benefit Project Smile.
Isabel Lopez Collection
The opening number came from Dance Artists Ballet Academy with their magnificent movements that left you feeling like you had been whisked away in a fairytale. Then the fashion began; the first collection from Maddy Ventresca featured a silk Chanel look of a soft pinks, a beige baby doll dress with a vintage white jacket and retro pinned back hair. Next was; LaFille Colete Collection with strategic cuts on the simple black and white cocktail dress and a deep turquoise also purple floral pattern. Tina Melo Collection took to the runway with, winter furs in a warrior look for men and women both showing ancient patterns and leathers. Finishing out before intermission was; a Lewis Flores performance playing modern radio hits on his violin while the Marilla Designs Collection showed a female princess gown with a gothic dark night appearance for men.
Maddy Ventresca Collection
After guests were given a break to bid on more items or grab a cocktail the second portion of the evening began with the mesmerizing Dance Artists Ballet Academy for a final performance. The fashion continued on with internationally known, Daniel Hernandez. His collection started off in fan favor with Managing Editor of the Boston Herald and our industries Master of Ceremonies Gustavo Leon being the first model to hit the runway. Hernandez wowed with his artful eye for putting together must have contemporary looks. Following was a unique musical performance from Issam El Hadouti on the keyboard and George El Bacha on hand drums. Solo Jubin Collection kept the style hitting the runway with deep burgundy reds paired with black leathers for men and women. Continuing with off the runway talent was Francoise Voranger and her steady strength acrobatic presentation. Miss Liya Atanasova won over the audience with her voice and originally written song. The event came to a close with Lewis Flores again taking stage with his stunning violin melody and the ruby red themed collection from Isabel Lopez. The sexy chic designer with her classic lace ended the evening with elegant style.
Daniel Hernandez Collection
Fashion on Fire was filled with high end style, entertaining performances, the city’s finest fashionistas all brought together to benefit Project Smile. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing comfort to children who have been victims of traumatic events. They donate stuffed animals, coloring books/crayons, and books to police and fire departments to be given to children immediately following a traumatic situation.
