Denise Hajjar Shows at Steeped in Style

Timeless style and tea recently took place with the revamped version of the Marilyn Riseman fashion series and designer Denise Hajjar showing her spring 2018 collection. The setting of the event was perfectly suited to honor the memory of the late socialite Riseman. Held in the chic courtyard garden of the historic Boston Public Library, the fine white table cloths, a full menu of assorted teas, delectable plates of horderves and desserts and of course the divine fashion.

Bold and bright colors in classic floral patterns were the highlight of Hajjar’s collection. Always bringing a wide range of options from her boutique and colors ranging from a pop of teal, hot pinks, fresh greens, to calm beige’s. The show featured pieces for head to toe looks fit for a cocktail occasion, off to the office or a silver sequenced number for a glitzy night out in the city. Her staple wrap dress that exudes class and a casual comfort was paired with a multi-purpose sash and must have accessories like local designer Andrea Valentini hand bags.

Steeped in Style is a bi-weekly series of informal fashion shows in honor of Marilyn Riseman. The shows highlight Boston’s best and brightest fashion designers and local boutiques. Each show is held during afternoon tea service at The Courtyard Restaurant, a stunning tea room within the McKim Building of Boston’s Central Library in Copley Square.
