Our Girl Linda Dance Party 2023

Recently the cities top fashionistas and family gathered for the fourth annual “Our Girl Linda” dance party to honor the legendary Linda Cole Petrosian and charity event to support St. Jude at the American Legion in Newton.

The evening began with catered treats and tables of auction items showcasing some of Boston’s best businesses. While guests continued to pour in for the sold out event they posed on the step and repeat then took their seats in the banquet room.

The party kicked off with the dance floor open and DJ Jimmy Espo playing rotations that all able to find their groove. After a few spins moves on the floor the event officially began with opening words from the heart. God daughter Milan gave a powerful speech on how Linda had impacted the industry, lives of so many in the community with her spirit that continues to contribute.

She then introduced the live entertainment of the evening; Brenda Arena as Liza Minnelli, Keith Gilbert as Frank Sinatra, and Dan Fontaine as Elvis. From classic Italian hits to the hound dog, it was a rocking good time.

From there the bidding of the live auction began. MC Espo with 617 Event Group who got the crowed upping the ante on the items such as a full dinner for four at the Reel House East Boston, Patriots tickets and apparel, local art, fashion designs and so much more with proceeds going to Linda’s favorite charity St. Jude.

The evening ended the way Linda would have wanted. A dance party that brought smiles, love, laughter. A personal impact: The first time I ever saw you, it was my first ever fashion show. I was mesmerized by the grace and energy you brought to the runway. You are a reason I have come as far as I have in this journey.

Your last show I will never forget walking into the Denise Hajjar boutique, upset over silliness, truly letting it affect me. Then there was you smile ear to ear fighting a real battle. You hugged me with a glass of wine in hand. Enjoying everything life was giving and taking.

I stood there again mesmerized, in pure awe of a women so magnificent, strong, and barely enough energy for yourself yet more than enough energy to rule the room and spread a vibe that will live on. You are forever in my heart!

The Our Girl Linda Foundation was established in 2018. It is an amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers who are committed to helping others.
