Fashioning Stronger Communities
Copley Place paired up with KB Fashion Productions and The Lenny Zakim Fund for a charity runway event “Fashioning Stronger Communities” in the heart of the shopping center plaza. The evening welcomed in Host Glenn Jones NBC news anchor, DJ Mattoto alongside a slew of local celebrities in the audience and on the runway.

Funk vibes and faux from Zadig was the first set looks to take the runway after Media maven Christy Cashman gave Dante Sanchez the boot regardless of his Hugo status. Zadig and Voltaire brought the street style to the party. Showing head to toe deep denim, chic chain link shoulder clutch bags, beaded business coats, and closed with a stellar silver skirt.
Following were winter warm knits from Talbots who is known for their staple season sweaters. From a muted Sunday dress with style, pastel pink button downs and pullovers to the showstopper of the set a rocking red head in a power business suit with a midnight glow.
Queenia was next to take the catwalk in gowns fit for royalty. Their latest collection featured elegant dresses with beaded accent. A simple black full length with flow that can be transformed to imperial with some sheer shimmer and layered ruffles. The monarchy of the set showed scarlet robes with seductive lace and drape fabrics that embodied every woman should be her own queen.
Designs meant for the diva from Wolford brought the rockstar to the runway. Their collection was every woman’s inner Madonna wrapped up and put on the rack. Each piece exposed seduction in a chic classy manner. Focal on body hugging materials, lace black cat style suits, leather snakeskin, a casual short and blazer set with all eyes drawn to the diva in the Ferrari strapless mini dress reminiscent of a cocktail affair at the bar.

Bogosplit local designer showroom was the last boutique to present at the charity fashion event to benefit. They are a hub for designers to house their art with an opportunity to build their business. Pieces all across the board from biker jackets for the gents, vintage bombers for the ladies, sweaters, trenches, everyday dresses with a chic touch, to eye popping accessories! The Zakim Fund Runway closed with the showstopper of the set dripping in golden glitter.
Fashioning Stronger Communities charity event was a success to benefit The Lenny Zakim Fund who works to develop deep relationships and builds bridges among people and communities to advance social, economic, and racial justice.
