Makuwa Swimwear Shows for BFW17
The event began with a day party for the guests to mix and mingle over a tasty cocktail at the chic Liquid Art House before the pink carpet was rolled out for the show Pose featuring Makuwa Swimwear.
When the style started to take place two pieces like; a classic white look covered with a pink patterned jacket and finished with a Jewelinga Designs tassel necklace hit the runway. Followed were; a camo flair with fish net wrap wowed and a teal and maroon crochet knitted two piece paired with a layered stone necklace work the room as it was complimentary to the painted colors on the walls. The show stopper was a heightened statement of a black classic two piece with a full length fish net wrap finished was a bold diamond choker from well-known Hairstylist and Makeup artist Racine Bell making her accessories debut.
The scene welcomed some of the city’s finest of fashionistas; The center of stage ceremonies Gustavo Leon and the debonair of the duo Patrick Dwyer, Designer Samuel Vartan, Stanley Connie Diforo from Mesese TV, Top photographers; Dan Minicucci, Robert Paris, Jay Lamour. Also Amber Lu, Angelina De Jesus Solomon, handbag designer Shaunt Sarian, Yemi Sekoni, Joe Malaika and more with Prive’s pro team in place alongside head honcho Tail Coat Times tying everything together.
The Boston Fashion Week opening night was a success in more ways than one with Makuwa Swimwear taking a stand with her handmade creations. One of the primary goals for the line is to give back to the specific region of the Congo where Francine is originally from.
