Bianchi gets Steeped in Style
Boston Fashion Week continued in a traditional style with the legendary “Marilyn Riseman’s Steeped in Style” hosted by the beloved Jane Conway Caspe in the historic Boston Public Library Courtyard featuring designer Alexandra Bianchi.
Guests were seated at their high-toned tables and began by indulging in their sophisticated selection of tea and hors d’oeuvres. Handpicked models by Bianchi began to grace the room in beige tones with dripping pearls off the hip in a sexy wide leg pant suit. Also, in a blush baby pink simplistic satin dress with the drama in the back of a sash and pearl looped from shoulder to shoulder. Keeping it cohesive was an elegant rose colored one piece with stunning floral patterns and an attention commanding train. The design to steal the show was a silver shadow wedding gown with a cloud fabric trailing from the neckline. Bianchi continued to send out wedding themed must haves with the casual look of nudes and floral flows for that flapper lady sort of feel with the music paired perfectly set in the jazz club era.
The show was a collaboration team that has been popping up at Bianchi’s presentations. The swinging hair styles were provided by Charles Maksou the Dry Cut Craftsman. An Eight time "Boston's Best" award winner in his newest location on Newbury Street Charles continues the legacy of the Dry Cut from the legendary John Sahag. The method was founded in Paris, and Charles brought it to Boston in 1998, and was awarded "Boston's Best Dry Cut" after opening his first studio. With over 30 years of experience, what he enjoys most is being a sculptor. He loves creating the perfect shape for a client to enhance their natural features.
