A Fashionable Legend Honored

Boston is a city blessed with iconic sports teams, restaurants, art, and one beauty that has made an impact on the fashion industry for decades.

Yolanda Cellucci is a portrait representation of a vogue lifestyle. Her career notably began in 1968. Already being an established model, she began entrepreneurial journey with a boutique in Waltham focal on women’s wear and dazzling head pieces fit to complete any rouge outfit. Her shop grew into a powerhouse for lavish evening and wedding ensembles, international designs, style consultations, a day spa, all under one roof.

At a vibrant 88 years of age Yolanda can still be seen in the front row of fashion shows, supporting budding student exhibits, and hosting her on-air tv talk show “Style and Glamour.” With all her current contributions and past the time has come to honor this graceful icon in more ways than one!

On, Friday May 5th from 5:30-8:30pm the 10th Annual Boston Design Week Awards celebrate the diversity of the design community in greater Boston with a spirited gathering. Yolanda will be receiving the Mentor of the Year Award. The evening will be a catered reception held at the Boston Architectural College on Newbury Street.

Following on May 11th at the Peabody Essex Museum will be a grand celebration and cocktail affair held in an exhibit dedicated to this stylish and elegant legend. In March, PEM unveiled more than 100 fresh works from the museum' global fashion and textile collection, including nearly 40 recent acquisitions that spotlight the vibrant and fine tailored collection of Boston-based entrepreneur and glamour of fashion Yolanda Cellucci.

These honorable events are mire episodes to a lifestyle of glitz and glamour of a women who has worn her heart on her sleeve while making a statement in many aspects of business and lead the way for the path women can now walk on.
